Programme

Clinical research plays a major role in translating scientific advances into improvement of patient care and optimal health resource allocation. Clinical research has become a sophisticated science requiring researchers to obtain highly specific training in health research methodology to assure ethical conduct and generation of valid results of clinical studies.

The curriculum is structured in 3 modules consisting of blocked workshops, and a final thesis. Optional workshops in "module 3" allow the selection of individual tracks within the programme. Workshops are offered several times per year and may be taken in flexible order within modules. Consequently, students have maximal flexibility regarding completion of workshops and the overall duration of their programme.

Graduates of the programme will be awarded the degree: "Master of Science in Clinical Research".

Organisation

The VSCR has taken the lead in promoting this exchange and transfer of knowledge. Experts from all over the world access their excellent training platforms along unique networking opportunities. The VSCR serves as a gateway for representatives from European and American medical institutions to build relationships and help support the further development of countries in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa through training and education.

This will be achieved by offering initial and continuing education to physicians/investigators and other clinical research professionals through post-graduate courses, workshops and seminars, thus ensuring high scientific standards in the generation and interpretation of clinical trial data and their application to clinical practice.

Study in Vienna

Vienna has long been a leading European center for medicine and medical science and in recent years has become one of the most recognized cities for biotechnology and life sciences research in Europe.

By providing excellent training and educational research facilities, Vienna has emerged as a hub for international exchange and capacity building in medical bioscience research especially for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
