Target group: The programme is designed for graduates of 2-year tourism colleges.

Manchester Metropolitan University and ITM are convinced that the combination of the practical education of a college with the theoretical and analytical training of an academic programme offers the best possible preparation to enter a variety of managerial positions in international and local business. College graduates enter the 3rd year and obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management with Tourism that gives them a jump start in the international market place. Graduates have the possibility to achieve their Master in Science in (MSc) in Events Management, Hospitality Management or International Tourism Management with e-Business within one more study year.

Target group: Graduates who would like to discover the exciting world of international tourism and management and achieve their Bachelor diploma within the shortest possible time.

Target group: High school graduates who would like to discover the exciting world of international tourism and management.

The programme combines the practical education of a vocational college with the theoretical and analytical training of an academic programme. First, students complete the ITM 4-semester study programme in “Event Management”, Hospitality & Tourism Management” or “Wellness and Spa Management”. After successful completion, they receive the Austrian state diploma, the business licence for the hotel industry, gastronomy and travel agency which enables them to set up their own business. With the diploma, they automatically qualify for the bachelor programme in “Hospitality Management with Tourism” which lasts another 2 semesters.

The programme is designed to prepare students to enter a variety of managerial positions in the international and local hotel and tourism industry.

It allows students to appreciate the complexity of

modern international business organizations,
the intricate relationships that exist between businesses and the social frameworks in which they function,
and the challenges of administration at all levels.

Students go on to careers in event management, marketing, tour operation, leisure attractions, hotels, restaurants, airlines, public houses, contract catering and fast food organisations.

Students with prior education in tourism may gain higher management positions the hotel and leisure sector. As tourism is the fastest growing economic sector worldwide, graduates have excellent career opportunities.

Practical relevance

All courses are taught in English using the case study method to prevent business theory from remaining abstract and incomprehensible.

High school students enrolled in the 6 semester programme are required to undertake a 13 week internship at a tourism related facility in a country of their choice.

Study in Bad Vöslau

The town of Bad Vöslau is located about 30 km south of the city Vienna. It is easily accessible by train and by car (federal highway). The popular health resort is famous for its beautiful scenery, mild climate and hot springs and offers ample opportunities for leisure activities. Moreover, cities such as Vienna, Bratislava and Wiener Neustadt are just a stone’s throw away and can be reached easily by public transport.

The new ITM campus is located right in the centre of the lovely city. The building is surrounded by a beautiful park area, where students can relax and enjoy their study breaks. A comfortable student lounge and cafeteria and well-equipped seminar rooms complement the modern study environment. On-campus housing is provided.
